The Indian automotive industry has experienced a paradigm shift in the area of safety over the last few years.
Indian automakers are boosting their game by adopting cutting-edge Advanced Driver Aid Systems after getting a 5-star safety certification from Global NCAP (ADAS).
We learn which ADAS-equipped cars are the most relatively affordable.
1. Hyundai Venue
The ADAS suite is the primary feature of Hyundai’s most recent update to the Venue.
Both the 1.5-liter diesel and the 1-liter turbo petrol are equipped with this safety function.
The SX(O), the highest trim, has ADAS as promised.
The output of the turbocharged petrol is 118 horsepower and 172 Nm.
There are two gearboxes available for it: a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The diesel, on the other hand, only has a 6-speed manual gearbox and produces 114 horsepower and 250 Nm.
Variant | Price |
Turbo Petrol | Rs 12.44 lakh to Rs 13.38 lakh |
Diesel | Rs 13.19 lakh and Rs 13.34 lakh |
2. Honda Elevate
The Honda Elevate is the most recent vehicle to enter the crowded mid-size SUV sector.
The Big H may have entered this market, but Honda Sensing, as the Japanese automaker likes to call it, is now the most reasonably priced mid-size SUV that features ADAS technology.
This safety feature is exclusive to the ZX version, which also offers two gearbox choices: a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
It is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 119 horsepower and 145 NM of torque.
Variant | Price |
ZX MT | Rs 14.90 lakh to Rs 14.98 lakh |
ZX CVT | Rs 16 lakh and Rs 16.28 lakh |
3. Honda City
The Honda City, one of the most popular sedan models in India, is equipped with the same ADAS technology as its SUV sibling, the Elevate.
It’s important to notice that, aside from the base model, the SV, the remaining three trims—V, VX, and ZX—all come with the ADAS package.
The six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmissions are both options for the three variations.
The tried-and-true 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with 119bhp and 145Nm of output continues to power the City.
Variant | Price |
V MT | Rs 12.51 lakh to 12.59 lakh |
VX MT | Rs 13.63 lakh to Rs 13.71 lakh |
ZX MT | Rs 14.86 lakh to Rs 14.94 lakh |

4.Hyundai Verna
We cannot deny the Hyundai Verna’s futuristic style, love it or hate it.
Both the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated and 1.5-litre turbo versions of the Verna SX(O) model come standard with Hyundai’s SmartSense ADAS package, which is similar to that found in the Venue.
Only the CVT version of the previous powertrain has this technology.
The 1.5-liter NA produces 113 horsepower and 143.8 pound-feet of torque, while the turbo produces 157 horsepower and 253 pound-feet.
Both a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed manual gearbox are available with the turbo.

Turbo Petrol SX(O) | Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 17.38 lakh |
5. MG Astor
MG is one of the first automobile manufacturers that introduced the ADAS function in the more affordable range with the Astor. This SUV offers this additional safety feature on two variants — the Sharp and Savvy and only on the automatic versions. MG has ensured that both the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and the 1.3-litre turbo come equipped with it. The former offers 108bhp and 144Nm while the latter has an output of 138bhp and 220Nm of torque.

This safety element is available in both the turbo-petrol and diesel models, and the price range begins at Rs 19.40 lakh. The 7-speed DCT automatic is mated to the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, which produces 158 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque.
