Today SKODA India Launched Rapid’s all-new variant Rider Plus which is place upper the Rider variant and below the mi-spec Ambition variant. This version has been priced at Rs.7.99 Lakh (Ex.showroom, India). After an overwhelming response of the Rapid Rider variant, Skoda thought to give the Rider trim an exquisite addition. Skoda was able to price the original Rider variant aggressively at Rs.7.49 Lakh(Ex.showroom, India). And with an addition of Rs.50,000, you get quite a deal in Rapid Rider Plus variant.
The main addition in the Rider plus variant is the 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. And it comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity. The Skoda Rider Plus is now available with more colour options when compared to the base Rider. Rider is only available in Candy White and Carbon Steel, and in the Rider Plus now colours like Brilliant Silver and Toffee Brown are available.
The variant gets decorative side graphics, glossy black decor on the B pillars, trunk lip garnish and new window chrome garnish
Other additions include the chrome garnishing around the window line and on the boot-lid. But still, the alloy wheels are missing in the new Rider plus variant.
The Rider Plus comes with the new 110hp, 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. Features like auto climate control, tilt and telescopic adjust steering, remote locking, rear AC vents, rear-centre armrest, rear parking sensors, ABS, dual front airbags, etc too comes standard in this variant.
