The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift has a brand-new front fascia and back end, and new equipment and technology, such as ADAS, are added to the features list.
By the middle of this year or in the third quarter, Kia India is expected to introduce the redesigned Seltos to the domestic market. The 2023 Kia Seltos will have a number of inside and exterior changes, and it will be the midsize SUV’s first significant update since it debuted on the market in 2019. However, the launch date is not yet officially announced.
The revised Seltos was unveiled by Kia in Busan, South Korea, the previous year, and the model that would be sold in India will include comparable updates. Along with new headlamps, the front fascia gets a redesigned part of the grille and new LED daytime running lights. Newly designed alloy wheels, LED tail lamps joined by an LED light bar, a new tailgate and rear bumper, among other aesthetic improvements.
The interior will feature a new 10.25-inch digital instrument console, an updated feature list, a panoramic sunroof, smart cruise control, highway driving assistance, a 360-degree camera system, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), six airbags, VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), and more. The gear lever in the AT variants will be replaced by a rotary dial.
With ADAS-based driver assistance and safety technologies including frontal collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and automated emergency braking, the 2023 Seltos is also set to be the first Kia in India to provide them. A new 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 160 horsepower and 253 Nm of peak torque will be offered as far as performance goes.
It will take the place of the 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, which generates 140 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque in the current model. Both a six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission are compatible with it. The 1.5-liter NA gasoline and 1.5-liter diesel engines will continue to produce 115 hp/144 Nm and 115 hp/250 Nm, respectively.
The same gearbox configurations will also remain in place. The Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, etc. will be competitors for the 2023 Kia Seltos.
