Inside and out, the 2023 New Gen BMW X1 has undergone numerous changes. It has a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine.
The latest generation X1 from BMW India will go on sale in the country starting at a price of Rs. 45.90 lakh for gasoline and Rs. 47.90 lakh for diesel today (ex-showroom, introductory). At dealerships, the third-generation BMW X1 can be reserved for a deposit of Rs. 50,000.
The 2023 BMW X1 will begin deliveries in March for the diesel version and in June for the petrol version. It will continue to compete against the Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40. The new-generation X1 is 53 mm longer, 24 mm wider, and 44 mm taller than the outgoing model. It also has a wheelbase that is 22 mm longer, allowing for a 500 litre boot.
Significant improvements are also made to the outside. It gets an expanded front grille, a reworked bumper with brushed silver elements, thinner headlamps, newly designed L-shaped LED DRLs, flush-type door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels, updated LED tail lamps, revised rear bumper, and more on the outside. There are also some aesthetic alterations in the M Sport edition, which is sportier.
The interior of the 2023 BMW X1 has undergone a lot of changes, including a new infotainment screen that is curved and mounted above the dashboard like in the most recent generation of BMW automobiles, a floating centre console with fewer physical buttons, several storage areas, etc. A 1.5-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine is used for performance.
While the 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine produces 150 horsepower and 360 Nm, it is capable of producing a maximum power output of 136 hp and 230 Nm. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that connects both powertrains sends power only to the front axle. According to claims, the diesel version accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in three tenths less time—9.2 seconds—than the former.
The claimed fuel efficiency for the gasoline version is 15.03 km/l, whilst the diesel version claims 19.23 km/l. A fully digital instrument panel, 12-speaker audio, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and other features are included in the equipment list.
